Bread Bowl

1 1/4 cups very warm water
1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp.)
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 egg white
1 Tbsp. water

  • Pour the very warm water into a kitchen mixer bowl. Add the yeast and sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Add the dough hook attachment to the mixer. Turn the mixer on low, then slowly add in the flour and salt. Add the olive oil and keep mixing until the dough comes together in a ball.
  • Place dough in a large greased bowl, cover, and let rise for one hour, or until doubled in size.
